The 2012 vintage of Koyle Royale Cabernet Sauvignon has an intense and velvety color, with a balanced aromatic mix of herbs, currant and cedar aromas. Vibrant and elegant, silky and rounded, this is a wine that shows the natural environment that surrounds the grapes from the Los Lingues vineyards. The wine can be cellared for up to ten years, and decanted up to 30 minutes before serving.
The grapes were picked in extremely small, selected parcels (one plant per bottle) from high density vines in the Los Lingues Vineyards, coming from low fertility soils, where the roots can bring the minerality and freshness of the rocks and minerals. The vineyards are carefully pruned, with stringent canopy management and a green harvest, almost no irrigation, to express as much as possible the origin. At optimum ripeness, the grapes are hand-picked and brought to the cellar for careful sorting. Vinification is conducted in small tanks to get the best extraction of aromas, flavors and silky tannins. After fermentation, the Koyle Royale Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in French oak barrels for eighteen months, with no filtration.
This wine is ideally served with red meats, ripe cheeses, hearty dishes.

Not what I ordered
I ordered 3 bottles of a 2012 vintage and was sent 2 bottles of that vintage and 1 bottle of same wine but of 2014. I reached out to the Service team wondering if they had inadvertently sent me a 2014 and their response was they only had 2 bottles of the 2012 so made up the difference with the 2014. I am a wine snob and did not order the 2014 and therefore should have been contact before shipment occurred. There was no note in the box indicating the change in shipment. It feels as if they were trying to sneak one past me. I am unimpressed with my experience and seriously doubt I'll order from Wine Chateau again.
