This wine is made by the team that also brings you the wonderful and long-lived Château Calon-Ségur. Coming from a property that produces very tannic and structured wines for their first wine, this small production wine provides plenty of substance in a great vintage like 2009. Made from 65% Cabernet, 20% Merlot and 15% Cab Franc, it has big chocolaty aromas that follow to the palate. Decant for an hour or more; it then comes around nicley, and enjoy with a steak or prime rib or some fancy cheese! Very limited production. Great pedigree.
Rich concentrated wine with full fruit and plenty of ripe tannin well integrated with the fruit. Packed with savoury flavours and good length.
