A nose of butter and corn. Thick, oily-textured fruit with citrus flavors, mainly oranges with a little bit of black pepper and spices. A nice balance of richness and acidity, with white corn on the finish. A small producer with a devoted following, Tribut’s wines resemble an uncanny resemblance to Dauvissat’s—and not just the label!
Pale yellow. Lemon, menthol and a note of oyster-shell austerity on the nose. Rich but penetrating, showing excellent density and inner-mouth precision. A very sappy, fresh village wine with excellent balance and a grapefruity, stony finish.
