Verdeca Messapia was born in the vineyards of the famous Leone De Castris, located on the eastern coast of Puglia.
This wine is produced entirely with Verdeca grapes, picked at the end of August and carefully selected. Once smeared in cold, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 14-16 ° C. The wine begins to coalesce on the lees for about 3 months, followed by an additional month in the bottle, before being placed on the market.
The Messapia di Leone De Castris has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose opens with hints of wildflowers, well supported by notes of bergamot and pineapple. In the mouth it shows excellent sapidity and refined freshness, with fruity feelings on the finish.
Excellent in combination with first seafood and fish dishes, it also delights as a companion of fresh cheeses.
