Tenuous straw-yellow color, at times with a pale old-gold tone. Fruity odor with clean scents of green hazelnuts and wild chamomile. Fresh, sapid flavor with sensations similar to those offered by the odor.
A classic fish and seafood wine that also accompanies appetizers in general. Because of its big structure, it also complements introductory dishes.
The grapes used in making this wine come from the finest vineyards situated on the hills of the Roero zone to the west of Alba. The vines are grown with Guyot (VSP trellised) system on hills with steep inclines and terrains consisting primarily of calcareous sand.
Sensory characteristicsThe color is yellow straw, sometimes with a antique gold hues. The scent is fruity, with clean scents of acacia flowers, rennet apples, peach and green hazelnut. The taste is fresh, fragrant, softly mineral.
It goes well with traditionally delicate appetizers but intense flavors like veal with tuna sauce, the sufflè, pasta with vegetables, rice salads, white meat stewed, boiled or baked. It is also perfect for raw or marinated fish.
