The Nebbiolo of Marco Porello grows on limestone and sandy soils on slopes of the municipality Vezza d'Alba in the Roero. This charming Nebbiolo is quite fruity, strawberries, violets with a hint of oak, the full body hides the mature tannins. It has a rather soft style with the best balance, is also fine and elegant, which makes it accessible immediately after bottling. Lots of Piedmont charm for a more than reasonable price.
Marco makes a classic example of nebbiolo; rose petals, cherries and earthy. The vineyards stand on a light sandy bottom that gives the wine a lot of elegance. Affordable nebbiolo with which you immediately get an idea to which quantity this grape is even more capable.
