Montefiore Kerem Moshe is an enjoyable red blend with a vast array of spice complemented with well balanced features. Aged in French oak for 16 months, this wine makes a wonderful addition to any fine dining experience.
This handcrafted wine was produced in very limited quantities from Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah grapes. Each variety was aged separately before blending took place and only the finest components made the final wine. The wine was aged for 16 months in small French oak barrels.
The wine is a deep garnet color, with layers of complexity. It has aromas of blackcurrants and blackberries, hints of cedar, tobacco and spice, with a long, lingering finish.
Kerem Moshe is the flagship wine of the Montefiore Winery and is named after the first land purchased by Moshe Montefiore outside the walls of the Old City, on an area currently known as Mishkenot Sha'ananim. The vineyard wine of Montefiore Winery is a rich and complex blend of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, accompanied by Petite-Verdot, Merlot and Malbec grapes, which are produced in selected individual vineyards in the Judean Hills. The final bland was aged in small French oak barrels for 16 months.
