The Valtellina Superiore Sassella Le Tense di Nino Negri was born in vineyards located north of Lake Como in the province of Sondrio, in the Sassella sub-zone.
It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested only by hand during the month of October. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 2 months. Then the wine is aged in barriques for 36 months, before being bottled.
Le Tense is characterized by a vivid ruby color. The nose opens with complex and mellow raspberries, enriched with pleasant notes of rose and black cherry. The palate is full, pleasantly soft and with a good flavor. The wine expresses a pleasant and persistent base of dried plum and spices.
Perfect with dishes of meat sauce and red meat, it is ideal with game and aged cheeses.
