Having tried the riserva classico from this label and from the 2010 vintage of which I was not impressed I treaded cautiously when buying this bottle. Well this I'm enjoying more. Lovely nose of bramble fruits with juicy red berries at the fore, red liquorice, cassis and a hint of soft oak. Overall light to medium bodied with a whoosh of more red fruits on the palate, mild tannins and a very dry blackcurrant and slight eucalyptus finish. I like it
A good Chianti. Dry, low tannins, medium length, high acidity... Very good value for £12. Would be brilliant with Italian food!
