A cuvée of four Puligny parcels that vines averaging fifty years old (including some young vine Folatières Premier Cru fruit), the grapes for this wine were vinified in steel but the élevage occurred in almost entirely old barrels. The wine is pretty, vibrant, and elegant - something far more complex than its village-level designation would usually imply. Domaine Paul Pernot is one of the most respected estates in Puligny not just for its quality but also for its wines.
Rich, pure and stylish, mingling yellow and white peaches with citrus highlights, floral nuances, fine minerality and a touch of spice – delivered with Puligny class, palate-coating persistence and length. Drink now or allow it to gain layers and harmony over the next 1 – 2 years.
