Brilliant pale green colour
A very attractive aroma dominated by lemon/lime/citrus nuances and maybe some yellow peach. Flecks of bath powder and wet slate are also in the mix.
Fresh, crisp and dry; the palate is brimming with the lemon/lime/slate characters mentioned above, all nicely balanced by bright acidity that provides much of the drive to the finish.
This is the 31st release of this much loved wine. As always, it makes a lovely drink as a youngster, but will definitely improve in the bottle for 6-10 years + for those who like Riesling with a little age. I am yet to discover a better Oyster wine than young, dry Clare Valley Riesling.
