It has a ruby-red colour with hues of violet, with a fresh, very fruity fragrance and a totally dry, rich and harmonious flavour, that leaves a lingering aroma of tangy almond.
From the first drops to the glass it is clear that this is a high quality wine. Grapes are handpicked, hand-sorted and completely deserted before the sensitive and quality-conscious vinification. On the east-facing fields 420 to 480 meters above sea level, the grapes mature before winefishing begins and the subsequent ripening for 10-14 months in steel tanks.
The soft style of the wine, while still maintaining a nice backbone of delicious northern Italian tannins, makes it an excellent all-rounder. One can enjoy it as a clean dinner, especially if it's even allowed to breathe on a carafe in a small hour. Since it is 100% Barbera and it already has a couple of years on the bag it is best now until 2018.
Nicola Argamante and Loredana Addari took over a small vineyard in 1995 and have continuously made a number of eco improvements. Solar panels have been used, using 450gram light Leggera bottles and water purification so that the wastewater can be recycled.
This is a beautiful Barbera that works well in the palate. Enjoy!
