A beautifully balanced bouquet with harmonious aromas of fragrant hawthorn blossoms, citrusy lemongrass, sweet marzipan, and toasted hazelnuts define Domaine Roux’s Puligny-Montrachet. The flavors are ripe overall. Cultivated from limestone soil, Chardonnay grapes undergo fermentation in French oak barrels. The wine is racked off the lees into new and used French oak barrels to age for 13 months. Cellar for a number of years before uncorking for best results.
This mineral-textured wine is full of fruit while also being crisp and taut. Its lively character belies its weight and intensity. Drink this still-developing wine from 2020.
