Terroir: The Santi Soave VIgneti di Monteforte is sourced from vineyards idealy situated throughout the Soave DOC.
Vinification: The wine is vinified and aged "sur lie" entirely in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for a period of 7 months prior to a light filtration and bottling.
The finished wine has intense, fresh aromas of flowers and chalk, and complex tropical fruit and savory herb flavors on the palate, with excellent balance, firm acidity with a long, crisp finish.
Soave, which possibly owes its name to Dante Alighieri, is one of the world’s best known Italian wines.
Monteforte is a Soave Classico with very special qualities, associated with the strict selection of the grapes and the long time it spends on its lees.
Soave Monteforte is pale in colour, has a well defined bouquet of elderflower and a well-balanced taste of fruits, liquorice and toasted hazelnuts.
The wine is in the glass nice and bright with greenish tints. This wine offers intense fresh crisp aromas of flowers and complex tropical fruits with an outstanding balance. It's a lovely, spicy white wine that just tastes of more.
The wine will serve dinners with light dishes, fish, salads, shellfish and a nice refreshing glass in good company.
