Wine Enthusiast 96 points - Tawny and bright in the glass, this mellow, bittersweet beauty offers caramel and vanilla, braced by allspice and bitter orange. Although Nonino is best known for its grappas, this amaro, flavored with herbs from the mountains of Friuli, is worth seeking out. Consider it for dessert pairings or an edgy spin on a negroni. - K.N..April/2014

Ultimate Beverage Challenge 91 points - Bright and rich amber color. Subtle aromas of red berries and dried herbs are enticing. Slightly sweet on the tongue, citrus flavors mixed with dried thyme and cinnamon create a nice balance between sweet and bitter..March/2015

Nonino Amaro Quintessentia 0 750ml

This perfect introduction to amari is also one of the finest. Using a grappa base, Amaro Nonino is, without a doubt, one of the smoothest and most versatile of the amaro family. Unlike other popular amari (Averna, Ramazzotti, etc.), its flavor is fully alive, herbal, moderately sweet and enticing. It is wonderful alone as a digestivo, on the rocks as an apperitivo, or to add a perfect spicy exotic touch to a Manhattan.
