Soft tannins, ripe berries, chalk and lime with some light minerals. Very dark purple in color.
Aromas of earthy forest floor, dusty aged oak wood and black fruits. Flavors of black fruits, black currant, toasted oak, tobacco and coffee beans.
Dark fruits early that leads to a dry grippy tannic finish that coats the palate. The nose offers black cherry and currant with herbs, dark cocoa and some toasty spice notes.
Medium plus in body with smooth but moderately firm tannins and well balanced acidity.
On the palate I get dried fig, leather, and some spice with hints of graphite rounding out the finish. A little more time on the bottle will help round it out and develop some flavors.
