Ruby with orange rim. Leather, cedar, pencil and overripe black cherry. The palate is a subdued version of the nose with the waning fruit, but still very nice.
Leather blackberry spicy in mouth. Ducru is a very good quality, textbook Saint-Julien. Lovely bouquet of blackberries, tobacco, lead pencil & cedar. Well balanced, medium bodied and lush texture with more red fruits and cocoa with ripe tannins.
Good, long finish. Nothing too complex here as this classic, straightforward Bordeaux has everything where it should be.
