The Sancerre Rouge which this cuvée is composed comes from limestone and clay-limestone soils. The vines, which are on average 25 years old, are cultivated in reasoned farming.
The grapes are manual with a rigorous sorting of grapes . After a cold maceration, vatting lasts from 15 to 25 days depending on the vintage. The wine is aged in a tapered wooden tank and bottling is done without sticking or filtration after 18 months of aging.
Its purple robe opens on a woody nose of red fruits and spices. The palate is full, fruity with a nice roundness and fine tannins. To taste on a piece of meat.
