The 2016 Chardonnay The Lioness Estate was barrel fermented and aged for about 16 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. It features ripe grapefruit, pineapple and white peaches scents with hints of beeswax, toasted almonds and lemongrass. Full-bodied, concentrated and decadently fruited, the palate features a wonderfully refreshing line of freshness and long, creamy finish.
This has balanced richness in spades, offering a full-bodied, soft embrace of caramel and crème brûlée flavors. Bold and beautiful, it will appeal to fans of a fleshy style.
