Jekel Chardonnay Gravelstone 2015 |
The Jekel Gravelstone Chardonnay is defined by crisp acid and a mineral backbone that are the essence of its Arroyo Seco roots. Its soft-creamy mouth feel is accompanied by the harmonious flavors of cantaloupe, mandarin orange and vanilla.
Dry, acidic, honey melon notes, apricot notes, light creamy notes, hint of nut, oak notes, rich, full-bodied.
Generous and toasty whites are mouth-filling wines that are dry or medium-dry. You can discern notes of yellow plum, spices and toasted oak in these wines. The rich finish is exceptionally long.
The rich, full-bodied character is combined with toasted notes or oakiness, and the wines are a great match not only for oily fish but also for chicken, turkey and even game bird and pork dishes. Try with flamed salmon, smoked duck or creamy mushroom soup.
White wines are best served chilled, at 10–12°C. Chilling a bottle from room temperature to the perfect serving temperature takes about two hours in a fridge.
