Tenuta Ammiraglia Cabernet Terre More 2014 |
Wine maker notes
Terre More, a careful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah, is a rich, intense wine that is modern in style yet eloquently expressive of the growing area it represents.

The history of the Frescobaldi family starts over a thousand years ago and is closely connected with the history of Tuscany. At the high point of medieval Florence, the Frescobaldis spread their influence as bankers, earning the title of treasures to the English crown. A little later, with the flowering of the Renaissance, they became patrons of major works in Florence, such as the construction of the Santa Trinita bridge and the Basilica of Santo Spirito.
I like the chili and light blueberry character to this light and joyful red. Light body, fresh acidity and a fruity finish. Serve chilled. Drink now.
The Maremma Toscana Cabernet Terre More was born in the Ammiraglia estate of Frescobaldi located in the municipality of Magliano, in the province of Grosseto.
It is produced mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and with small additions of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah grapes, harvested by hand only. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with 13 days maceration in contact with the skins. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in second and third passage barriques, before being bottled.
The Terre More dell'AmmiragliaIt has an intense and brilliant ruby red color. The nose opens with fruity scents of blackberry, plum and black currant, enriched with hints of vanilla and licorice. The palate is full and enveloping, soft and elegant, with a very long finish and a pleasantly sweet and fruity aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany pasta dishes with meat sauce and red meats cooked on the grill, this wine is ideal paired with pizza.
